Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started & Booking
Q: How do I get started?
A: Just contact us via the Contact page or call us to arrange your free meet-and-greet. We’ll come to your home, meet you and your dog, discuss routines, and answer any questions before services begin.
Q: Do you offer a meet-and-greet?
A: Yes. All new customers receive a free meet-and-greet so your dog can get comfortable with us first.
Q: Do I need to book regular walks?
A: We focus on regular weekly customers so dogs can build friendships and routines within the group
Dogs We Care For
Q: What types of dogs do you walk?
A: We walk friendly and social dogs of all breeds and sizes. Each dog is assessed during the meet-and-greet.
Q: My dog is nervous around others — can you help?
A: Yes — dogs who are nervous but non-aggressive can start with a one-to-one walk and be gradually introduced into a calm group to build confidence.
Q: Do you walk reactive or aggressive dogs?
A: For safety, we don’t walk dogs that display aggressive behaviour. If you’re unsure, bring it up at the meet-and-greet.
Q: Do you accept puppies?
A: Yes — puppies are welcome once fully vaccinated, and we adjust walk pace to suit them.
Walks & Daily Care
Q: Are walks group or solo?
A: Most walks are group walks for socialisation. Solo walks are sometimes available exclusively for dogs already in our group program.
Q: How long are the walks?
A: Walk lengths vary based on the dog’s needs but are at least 1 hour long plus travel time.
Q: Where do you walk the dogs?
A: Dogs are walked in safe, suitable green spaces — including Forestry Commission areas and country parks near Eastbourne.
Safety & Care
Q: How many dogs are walked at one time?
We keep groups small to ensure safety, calm behaviour, and individual attention for each dog.
Q: What safety measures do you use?
A: Dogs are transported in crash-tested harnesses and secured crates. We carry fresh water, first-aid kits, GPS trackers, and cleaning equipment on every walk.
Off-Lead & Recall
Q: Do you walk dogs off lead?
A: Off-lead walking is allowed only after bonding and with written owner consent. Less reliable recall dogs stay on long leads for safety.
Weather & Seasonal Care
Q: What happens in bad weather?
A: We walk in all safe weather conditions. Dogs are provided with waterproof terrain bodysuits when needed and returned home clean and dry.
Q: What happens during extreme heat?
A: During hot weather, walks are adjusted to early mornings, shaded areas, or reduced activity levels to keep dogs safe and comfortable.
Health & Emergencies
Q: What happens if my dog is injured or unwell?
Q: In an emergency, we will contact you immediately and take your dog to your registered vet or the nearest available veterinary practice.
Q: Do you take bitches in season?
Q: No. For the comfort and safety of all dogs, we do not walk bitches while they are in season.
Cancellations, Travel & Policies
Q: Do you charge for cancellations?
A: No — we don’t charge for cancellations and will offer alternative slots where possible.
Q: Do you charge for travel/pick-ups?
A: No — pick-up and drop-off is included for customers in our service area.
Q: Do you take bitches in season?
A: For everyone’s comfort and safety, we do not walk bitches in season.
Extra Services & Schedules
